Repair & Restoration of Refrigerators in Connecticut

My refrigerator was not cooling (although the freezer was), and Mark knew exactly what was wrong with it. The culprit was a broken evaporator coil. When he replaced it, he explained that the new evaporator was redesigned, and you shouldn’t have the same problem again. The job was actually much more involved than I had anticipated. It involved taking the back panel off of the fridge, cutting and re-soldering copper pipes, installing a drying canister, refilling the system with gas, and checking the system for leaks, etc. He was methodical and performed this type of repair before.

Mark Dube only works on Sub-Zero appliances, and this is clearly reflected in his work. He knew my refrigerator inside and out. He did not charge the diagnostic fee (which was a mandatory $135 with the top distributor’s service recommended through Sub-Zero). He was able to correctly diagnose the problem over the phone, which he verified when he showed up. He was prompt, showing up within seconds of when he said he’d be there. He was professional, explaining anything I had questions about, and his service was top notch. He was a really nice guy, his work was top quality, and I would not hesitate calling him next time I need service on my refrigerator, or recommending him to anyone who needs Sub-Zero service.

Our refrigerator and freezer had stopped working. We called in the evening, and he responded early the next morning, pretty much diagnosed the problem over the phone. By 8:20am the problem was fixed. He replaced the master power switch, which had failed. He was reasonably priced, professional, cleaned up some water he found under the refrigerator. We would definitely recommend!

He was able to diagnose the problem over the phone, and made an appointment to see us the next day. He showed up the next day promptly. He had all the parts on his truck that were needed to repair the fridge. He fixed the problem in about an hour, and performed excellent work.

On time, reasonably priced. A pleasure, my kitchen floor was cleaner than before he arrived.

Replaced refrigerator evaporator, and upper cabinet hinge that was bent. Mr. Dube was extremely compliant and professional. He is third generation ice/refrigeration specialist with a true passion for his trade.

Sub-Zero 550 refrigerator warmed up, frosted on the inside and stopped keeping food cold! This happened two weeks ago, and another appliance repair company had come to fix it…and didn’t fix it at all, while charging $270. Mark came, knew immediately what to do, explained it clearly, fixed the fridge, and saved us tons of money.

Service was great. Call was returned promptly. Technician had the part in stock and came over the next day to fix. He had diagnosed the problem over the phone, gave me an unofficial cost quote ahead of time, and advised me about warranty situation. Sub-Zero ended up paying for parts and a portion of the labor (even though the unit was a few month out of warranty on labor). No surprises: clear diagnosis, quick resolution, and total transparency on cost. You can’t ask for much more than that, can you?

He told us that the unit was still under warranty-we did not know because we had just bought the house-the other quote we got was $1600!

My Sub-Zero freezer was not cold enough. Excellent. Responded to my call very quickly. Came at scheduled time. Replaced condenser fan motor. Cleaned up all debris from service.

Kept a prompt appointment. He had all the necessary parts with him on the truck. Was done in 45 minutes. Great.

Great-arrived within 2-hour window as promised, diagnosed problem, and repaired it on the spot.
